Certificate in Nursing Assistant

The training of Nursing Assistants aims at increasing the manpower auxiliary duties enabling professional nurse to do complex duties.  The programme prepares a Nursing Assistant who will assist in the delivery of promotive, curative and rehabilitative nursing services.  The adoption of PHC as per the Alma Ata declaration of 1979 call for Government to increase health capacity in all levels of health care. The duration of the programme shall be fifteen (15) months for candidates who have successfully completed COSC/LGCSE or equivalent.  The Enrolment statistics/number shall be the minimum of twenty-five (25) students.

Admission Requirements:

The acceptance requirements are minimum of five (5) passed subjects at COSC/LGCSE or equivalent as stated below:

• Pass of E in English Language
• Pass of E in Mathematic
• Pass of D in any Science subject
• Pass of D in any other two (2) subjects
